During the OECD 50th Anniversary on ’Better policies for better lives’, EPHA Secretary General Monika Kosinska explained the importance of equity in improving intergenerational solidarity.

On 2 and 3 March 2011, EPHA spoke at the 5th annual Nutrition and Lifestyle Conference, particularly on food taxation. The meeting gathered a broad range of stakeholders involved in nutrition-related issues and allowed a rich exchange on key issues such as labelling, health and nutrition claims and taxation notably.

The European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) and the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) joined forces on Wednesday 23rd June to co-organise a policy debate in the European Parliament. Marking the European launch of RCP’s new report, "Passive Smoking and Children", the event was hosted by Marina Yannakoudakis MEP (UK, ECR) and Theodoros Skylakakis MEP (Greece, EPP).

Tamsin Rose made a presentation and ran a workshop on "Using information and communication to reduce inequalities" at the WHO Regions for Health Network Annual meeting in Katowice, Poland on 24-25 November 2005.
