Empowering vulnerable groups to act on the social determinants of health inequalities - EPHA workshop

During the 4th European Public Health Conference, EPHA joined forces with the Open Society Institute/Roma Health Project and spoke in a moderated poster session on "Empowering vulnerable groups to act on the social determinants of health inequalities". Register to EPHA workshop at PES Convention ’Health as a public good’

EPHA-ASPHER side event at the WHO EURO regional Committee

Prior to the 61st session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe, EPHA and ASPHER oganised a side event to discuss how to strengthen the Public Health Workforce to champion health in all policies. Conference conclusions: EPHA 2011 Annual Conference “Europe 2020: Delivering a healthy and sustainable future for all?”

Are you also concerned or simply curious whether Europe 2020 will deliver a healthy and sustainable future for all? The participants of our conference were univocal that “not yet”. In order to achieve these goals it needs to be strengthened by a comprehensive health equity approach in all flagships and pillars of the Europe 2020. EPHA Annual Conference: "Europe 2020 : Delivering a healthy and sustainable future for all?" 14 April 2011

The European Public Health Alliance organises its 2011 Annual Conference on the 14 April 2011 in Brussels - "Europe 2020 : Delivering a healthy and sustainable future for all ?" EPHA workshop "Communication and advocacy" at 3rd Annual EUPHA conference

As part of the third annual EUPHA conference, EPHA organised a training seminar on 10 November 2011 on advocacy and communication in the field of public health. As a specific example of activities in public health advocacy, the focus was on food policy. The training seminar on advocacy and communication was devoted to presenting and discussing specific examples, tools and objectives that illustrate different ways of how to bring in positive developments that can bring about change. EPHA workshop: Reducing Health Inequalities for Children Living in Europe

During the third annual EUPHA conference on 11-13 November in Amsterdam, EPHA organised a policy workshop entitled "Reducing Health Inequalities for Children Living in Europe". The theme was of particular importance because poverty still remains one of the most important social determinants of health. EPHA-RCP Event: Passive Smoking and Children’s Health - New Evidence and a Call for Action

EPHA RCP European Parliament Event on Passive Smoking

RCP and EPHA are hosting an event in the parliament to discuss new scientific evidence on passive smoking and children. The event will be followed by a press conference. 2nd European Public Health Conference - EPHA holds three workshops

The EPHA Secretariat organised three workshops at the 2nd European Public Health Conference in Lodz, Poland. The workshops focused on the future of public health advocacy in Poland, tackling the wider determinants of health and translating research into policy.
