Around 100 local, national, regional and European non-governmental (NGOs) and not-for-profit organisations are members of the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA). EPHA membership organisations work individually and collectively to promote and protect the health interests of people living in Europe.
EPHA has two categories of membership :
FULL members are Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) active in the public health sector. Full members have two votes at the Annual General Assembly.
ASSOCIATE members are other not-for-profit organisations, professional bodies, academic institutions and local or regional authorities. Associate members have one vote at the Annual General Assembly (AGA).
EPHA membership fees are based on the income of the member organisation.
In 2009, the fees for new members are :
| Annual income over 5,000,000 Euros | 5,000 + 5,000 euros (1) |
| Annual income of 1,000,000 - 5,000,000 Euros | 5.000 Euros |
| Annual income of 300,000 - 1,000,000 Euros | 1,500 Euros |
| Annual income of under 300,000 Euros | 800 Euros |
(1) This extra 5.000 Euros corresponds to a mandatory contribution to the Mentor scheme for new members only. (please check the Work Programme for more details)
EPHA can, on a case-by-case basis, waive the membership fees for NGOs or organisations in EU candidate countries, NIS and South East Europe. NGOs or organisations for whom this may apply should write the Secretariat.
