EC Environment and Health strategy, developments in December 203

The European Commission’s Consultative Forum on Environment & Health meeets in Brussels on 18-19 December 2003.
On the agenda are the 9 Baseline Reports produced by the Technical Working Groups (TWG) and which will be reviewed by the Consultative Forum on the basis of the "mandates" for the TWGs which are available on the following websites:

Are the Millenium Development Goals achievable?

The WHO and the World Bank are organising a High-Level Forum in Geneva 8-9 January 2004 to discuss the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Participants include Ministers and officials responsible for finance, planning and health in developing countries, senior officials from bilateral and multilateral donors. The forum will assess progress so far towards meeting the health MDGs, and most importantly, map out what needs to be done to stand a realistic chance of reaching those (...)
