For World AIDS Day (1st December 2003), the French NGO AIDES, an EPHA member, releases the film-documentary "Breaking the Curve: fighting AIDS in Estonia and in Russia."
This 22 minute documentary will be available on 26th November 2003 in both English and French, from AIDES.
In 2004, in parallel with the enlargement of the European Union, AIDES calls for a greater mobilization of Western European countries against AIDS in Central and Eastern Europe.
This documentary was made as part of the Integration Projects and focuses above all upon the views of people living with HIV and AIDS and of local NGOs present in the field working with vulnerable communities: AIDSi-Tugikeskus and the Narva Rehabilitation Center in Estonia, Humanitarian Action, AIDS-Infoshare and AFEW in Russia.
