Following the enlargement of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Liaison Group to the sector of foundations and of public health, EPHA has joined the Group representing health interests.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is a consultative body of the European Union. This part of the web site is dedicated to the general presentation of the Committee including information on its role, work and structure. The organisational chart and the information on the different working bodies, such as Presidency, Groups and Sections, can be found here. The EESC Members, documents, policy areas (themes), events and press related information can be found under the other main navigation tabs. Under the tab "Take part" you can find information on the different ways the citizens can get involved with the Committee; this can be through the interactive tools available on this web site or taking physically part in the visits, competitions and other activities organised by the EESC.
Following the enlargement of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Liaison Group to the sector of foundations and of public health, EPHA is now a member. In this group, EPHA represents health interests.
The Liaison Group serves as a channel of communication and a structure for political dialogue. The Liaison group allows for the EESC to more effectively partake in its role as intermediary between the EU institutions and organised civil society. In addition, it provides a forum for civil society organisations, thus contributing to optimising synergies and allowing the different players of organised civil society to collaborate on issues of common interest. The Liaison Group follows the initiatives taken by the EESC with the goal of strengthening cooperation with civil society.
