The role of EFSA to assess all risks associated with the food chain makes its communication to the public a key challenge. Information ensures that citizens are aware of the risks they might encounter and it allows them to adapt their behaviours.

Its existing communication strategy was established in 2006. Since many developments took place since then, it is time for a thorough review in order to adapt to current challenges.

The consultation includes questions on the priorities, objectives, strong and weak points, audiences and styles of EFSA’s communications. It is based on EFSA’s draft communication strategy 2010-2013.

- Deadline for the consultation: 5 July 2010 by clicking here.
