With the aim of stimulating action in alcohol policy, EPHA member Eurocare organises the fourth European Alcohol Policy Conference that will take place on 21-22 June 2010 in Brussels.
After three successful conferences that took place in 2004 (Warsaw), in 2006 (Helsinki) and 2008 (Barcelona), Eurocare chose Brussels to hold the fourth conference in order to involve an audience as wide as possible.
The scope of the conference is to promote and disseminate knowledge about current thinking on alcohol and alcohol policy matters, to build capacity, and to promote networking and coalition-building between and within European countries.
The conference will be held just after the World Health Assembly consideration of the WHO Draft Global Strategy on action to reduce the harmful use of alcohol, which will probably bring related discussions to the table.
If you register until the 15 May 2010, the registration fee is 300 euros. After this date, it will be 350 euros. Participants can also choose to join one day of the Conference only and pay 200 euros. Organisations from low income countries can apply for a reduced fee.
The Fourth Alcohol Policy Conference is co-sponsored by the World Health Organisation and co-financed by the European Commission.
