The final programme of the International Conference ’Building Public Health Dialogue and the role of Health NGOs in the Republic of Slovenia and the EU’ is now available. The conference will be held in Ljubliana, Slovenia on 26 March 2010.
This conference is organised by EPHA member the Slovenian Coalition for Tobacco Control and is supported by EPHA. The conference is primarily aimed at representatives from Slovenian NGOs and aims to raise awareness of public health debates in Slovenia. Speakers include the Slovenian State Secretary for Public Administration, MEP and former Slovenian Prime Minister Alojz Peterle and the head of the WHO Slovenia office Marijan Kerstin Petric. The conference will be co-chaired by EPHA President Archie Turnbull and the Chairwoman of Slovenian NGO ’NGOs protect our health’ Mihaela Lovse.
With many of the other speakers coming from across Europe this conference represents a fantastic opportunity to exchange best practice and to explore ways in which the EU and Slovenia can engage and work together on public health.
