Who are we?

The CHEN - Patient Fertility Association was established in 1998 to increase the awareness of fertility and fertility treatments and offer support to infertile people. It is 100% staffed by volunteers.

Who do we represent?

The CHEN association represents people under fertility treatments in Israel as well as couples undergoing in vitro fertilization in Israel in our programme of “fertility tourism”.

What is our mission?

Our mission is to deepen the awareness of fertility treatment and knowledge about fertility, as well as of CHEN’s activities in Israel. This includes lectures to high school students to prevent the spread of diseases by using condoms, and providing emotional support for couples through activities like cooking workshops and other support groups.

What do we do?

Services offered by CHEN include providing personal support via a telephone ’hotline’ and web-based patient-to-patient contact, as well as free legal advice regarding international assistance providing fertility treatments and touring Israel for fertility purposes. CHEN’s activities include organising support groups for patients and their family members, and lecturing in schools to increase public awareness. Once a year we have a football cup for children from all religions in Israel (Jews, Christians, Druse and Muslims) to show that infertility could be everybody’s problem. CHEN is a member of Fertility Europe and the International Consumer Support for Infertility (iCSi).

How do you get involved?

CHEN activities are local, national and international and CHEN supports the Fertility Tourism program which is an international assistance to couples. Please visit our website at www.amotatchen.org.
