On 4 December 2009, there will be a seminar looking at how self-help groups in the field of alcohol and drug-related problems may contribute to prevention efforts and social integration into local communities. In addition the event will discuss how self-help addresses inter-generational cycles.
This seminar is being organised by the European Mutual Help Network for Alcohol Related Problems (EMNA) and will take place ground floor of the Norwegian Delegation and Embassy in Brussels.
The seminar will focus on how self-help groups in the field of alcohol and drugs addresses the the intra-generational perspective and explore their community-based dimension. The seminar will explain self-help groups’ wider role in society, as well as, provide a forum for those interested in public health and social exclusion.
