The European Public Health Alliance is organising a workshop on The Future of Public Health Advocacy in Poland on November, 26th 2009 as a pre-event of the joint EUPHA/ASPHER conference in Łódź, Poland.
EPHA is happy to announce that there is a possibility for subsidised places for under-35 years old delegates of Polish origin, working for a non-profit organisation in the health field, to be awarded subsidised participation. Successful applicants will be expected to briefly present themselves and their ideas during the workshop.
By providing examples on how Public Health Advocacy is done in other countries in Europe and identifying the specificities of Polish political and health systems, as well as the specific cultural context, the workshop aims to explore the mechanisms and possibilities for public health advocacy in Poland, to identify the gaps therein and the role of young professionals in taking it forward.
Interested public health professionals are invited to submit their application, cover letter and a brief description of their presentation (please see the guidelines below) by October, 8th to EPHA. Please note that the working language of the workshop will be Polish.
Presentations are expected to last no more than 5 minutes. Should an applicant be accepted, EPHA will cover applicant’s conference registration fee, accommodation and transport costs.
