WHO Event on Healthy Environments: Luxembourg, 28 January 2009
A thematic meeting on healthy environments is to be held in Luxembourg next week.
It is expected that recommendations for effective public action and policies in such areas as poor indoor air quality are expected from the meeting that will be organized by WHO/Europe and hosted by the Ministry of Health of Luxembourg and the European Commission, Directorate-General for Health and Consumers. The meeting will address respiratory disease, obesity and injuries, and will be a milestone in the preparatory process towards the Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health in 2010.

The WHO has published a press release on its website. Our partner organisation HEAL attended the meeting, as did EPHA President Joanne Vincenten representing the European Child Safety Alliance (EuroSafe).
