Applications for the intake to this programme have now closed. The Autumn Programme will open in Summer 2009l.
Our internship programme starts in early March with an induction and training week, giving interns an introduction to Brussels and the European district as well as an overview of working on policy and advocacy. This allows newcomers to Brussels to gain an understanding of the Institutions, NGOs and the other important stakeholders in the European policy-making process.
Throughout the six month placement, participants on the programme meet for a monthly update where they share experiences and learning, undertake training on specific issues such as communication, personal development and choosing the right career for them as well as hearing guest lectures from senior officials from the institutions and international governmental and non-governmental organisations.
EPHA recruits two placements within our own organisation: one working on EU health issues, and the other on Global health issues. EPHA also recruits placements for partner organisations (the numbers vary according to the Spring or Autumn intake) and this is available to non-EPHA members for a fee.
EPHA would ask that any member or partner organisation interested in being involved with the internship programme to email the Secretariat.
If you will already have an intern or would like to do the hiring yourself, we would be happy to take them on for the introductory week and the follow up sessions.
