On 18 April Active Citizenship Network is promoting the celebration of a European Patients’ Rights Day in all EU Member States as an occasion to inform, discuss and take commitments to improve patients’ rights in Europe.
This initiative has received the patronage of the European Parliament, the European Commisson (Commissioner Androulla Vassilliou and the Representation in Italy) and the European Economic and Social Committee. 25 European countries will participate in the initiative with about 80 events.
ACN is promoting an on-line petition to the European Commission asking for the institutionalization of 18 April as the European Patients’ Rights Day.
