Aim of EPHA Web site
The EPHA Web site has been developed as an interactive tool allowing mutual communication between the Brussels-based EPHA Secretariat and EPHA Members. The Web site also stands as an information tool for the wider public providing the latest health-related European developments. It provides independent and objective information about public health in Europe, and more specifically about the key priorities as defined by the EPHA General Assembly and approved by the Executive Committee.
Web site Features
The EPHA Web Site features up-to-date news on a range of key issues such as social issues, environment, food and agriculture, trade and health, as well as the EU political processes in the health sector. You will be able to navigate through the different sections of the Web Site via the tabs and the search engine on top of the page.
The latest information can be accessed directly from the home page. The home page also has news feeds, providing links to interesting articles from other selected web sites.
The "Have your Say" box on the right hand side informs you about the on-going public consultations published by the European Commission in the above mentioned policy areas.
The "Members only" area gathers practical information on advocacy work performed by the EPHA Secretariat in coordination with EPHA Members organisations. It is reserved to the organisations that are part of EPHA’s network. Learn more about the benefits of becoming an EPHA Member.
Content production
EPHA does not accept funds from industry or commercial interests to develop this website. The EPHA website does not host commercial advertisings.
The content of the Web site is mainly produced by the EPHA Secretariat. On a monthly basis, the Secretariat publishes an on-line newsletter feeding each section of the Web site with news items. To do this, the Secretariat holds two editorial meetings a month to share the information gathered through website monitoring and news tracking activities. If you wish to receive the latest news items directly in your mailbox, you may as well register to our online Newsletter.
EPHA Members contribute to the Web Site by posting comments or suggestions on the back office. They can also submit news items to be published in the on-line Newsletter.
Every visitor is invited to make comments on all articles, including this one, via the article’s forum tool (see box at the bottom of the article).
