IAVI organises Symposium in the EP


The EPHA Secretariat acted as the logistics organiser for the International Aids Vaccine Iniative (IAVI) Symposium organised in the European Parliament on 17 June 2003.

The event brought together Parliamentarians, journalists, experts and advocates to raise awareness about the urgency of the need for an AIDS vaccine and to examine the potential contribution of European research and development.

I appluad the IAVI over the efforts being taken to find an AIDS vaccine. My thanks goes to Seth Bekley who has dedicated time and other resources to this goal . I hope the world through such an assembly will come to reality about the effects AIDs continues to impose on developing countries like Uganda. Could pass me information on the registration process for journalists seeking to partcipate in this event.
