Results of a recently published study on occupational diseases linked to asbestos will be presented.
Carried out by the European Forum Working Group on occupational diseases, it attempts to provide answers to the following questions:
which diseases are recognised to be involved?
using which criteria?
how many cases receive compensation each year?
what are the trends in the development of the different diseases?
what specific compensatory measures are in place in the different countries?
