Anne Hoel and Lara Garrido Herrero represented EPHA during the Health Policy Forum.

Events that EPHA organised
The EPHA team took part in a two-day workshop on communication, looking in particular at presentation skills. The workshop, facilitated by Lou Stein, reflects the secretariat’s interest in continued professional development.

During the Health Policy Forum, EPHA organised a workshop on transparency wich aimed to define a set of criteria for transparency to be applied to members of the Health Policy Forum. The scope and agenda, as well as the background document are available for members’ only.
Within the framework of EPHA EU funded project, EPHA in co-operation with CAL organised a conference in Riga (Latvia) on how to increase the participation of NGOs dealing with public health issues in EU decision-making processes.
Meetings, presentations and trainings
Lara, Anne and Diana had a meeting with the Publisher of the European Agenda, a Brussels-based magazine with the latest policy events.
Lara gave a presentation on EPHA to representatives of Pitea Region (Sweden), together with Eimear and Diana.
Lara and Anne held a meeting with BEUC (the European Consumers’ Organisation) and the co-chairs of the Intergroup to scale up activities of the Health and Consumer Intergroup.
From the 30 to 31 March, Agnese and Ilze met with several NGOs in Lithuania in order to strengthen partnerships within the framework of EPHA EU funded project in Central and Eastern Europe. On the 7 April, Ilze made a presentation on EPHA to more than 70 NGOs in Lithuania.
Lara took part on the advisory committee meeting of a project on eHealth lead by the European Health Managers Association. Lara also participated in the second preparatory meeting of the European Policy Health Forum Gastein.
From the 3 to 7 April Agnese organised consultations with NGOs in Slovenia, Slovakia and Poland about the partnership.
Lara and Eimear attended a meeting on Health and Consumer Advertising and Health Claims at the European Heart Association.
