As regional and local authorities are increasingly affected by health initiatives and have more and more responsabilities in the field, EUREGHA intends to build an administrative regional and local network on health issues with no formal or political mandate. The Network represents regional and local health authorities across the EU and applicant countries.
The EUREGHA network is aiming to be a representative platform for all interested regional or local authorities or their organizations provided that these authorities/organizations have responsibilities within the health area or in other areas related to health issues.
The objectives of the EUREGHA network are:
To enhance the regional and local influence on EU initiatives at an early stage by providing expertise;
To provide a forum to exchange information with the European Commission on health-related issues;
To share knowledge of EU policy impacts on the health sector and in areas related to health in the European member states;
To enhance the information flow by exchanging best practices and experiences between the different member states and sharing information about EU legislation or EU initiatives related to health issues;
