Research: New Calls for proposal for civil society
Recently, the European Commission published two calls for proposals in the area of Science and Society under the Sixth Framework Programme.
Science Shops
The objective of the call is to contribute to universities’ mission of sharing knowledge outside the academic sphere. It mainly targets local civil society, universities and organisations involved in the training of students.
The call requires the use of specific support actions (SSA) and coordination actions (CA). Participants should consult the full call text in order to find out the particular instruments requested for each area.
The call has a total budget of 1 million euro.
The deadline for submitting proposal documents is 30 March 2006.
Bringing research closer to society - Promoting Science and scientific culture
The European Commission has also published a call for proposals entitled ’Bringing research closer to society - promoting science and scientific culture’.
The call refers to the following areas: civil society organisations, co-productions, European dimension of science weeks and science festivals. The full text of the call reveals all the details.
The call has a total budget of 3.5 million euro.
