Women in Europe for a Common Future in cooperation with the Social Ecological Institute and Karat Coalition will hold a seminar titled “Toxic chemicals in our daily life from a women’s health perspective. Do we have to accept the present situation?”.

The Conference will take place in Warsaw on the 6th of December 2004.

The seminar will deal with the impact of toxic chemicals, which exists in our daily lives, on women’s health. Examples include toxic chemicals in toys, cosmetics and packaging to name a few.

The seminar will:

- identify the problems

- discuss the new EU chemicals policy, REACH

- learn how women are trying solve this problem in other countries

- think what to do in Poland

This seminar is a first event, giving women the opportunity to learn about toxic chemicals from a women’s health perspective.
